Pertisau

Today we intended to see a bit more of the towns of Austria so we went via Innsbruck to Pertisau. Pertisau is a small village on the shore of Lake Achensee, Austria's highest lake. We took the train from Innsbruck to Jenbach and the bus up the mountain to Pertisau. This was a low bird-number day but we did see a Common Buzzard from the train to Jenbach and a singing male European Serin just outside Jenbach station. Whilst walking around Pertisau (good ice-creams can be had here!) we saw Common Kestrel, Mallard, Black Redstart and a Bonelli's Warbler.
